Another charged for Lodge man’s murder

Osafa Grundall, also known as “Safo” appeared on Tuesday at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Courts slapped with a murder charge.
The 39-year-old man of Lot 40 Freeman Street, East La Penitence, Georgetown, appeared before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan.
The charge stated that on April 25, 2019, at Norton Street, Lodge, while being in the company of others, he shot Marlon Rodney. However, Rodney succumbed to his injuries on April 30.
According to the prosecution’s case, Rodney was walking along Norton Street in an eastern direction on the northern side of the road when he was confronted by Grundall, Fraser and another man called “Curl-up”, who exited a tinted white motor vehicle, and an argument ensued.
Grundall, Fraser and “Curl-up” allegedly whipped out a gun and fired several shots in his direction, which hit him to his foot. The man was subsequently rushed to the Georgetown Public Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injury.
Grundall was represented by Attorney-at-Law Eustace Anderson, who informed the court that Nigel Hughes will be the defence counsel in the case.
Police Prosecutor Gordon Mansfield informed the court that James Fraser, the co-accused, appeared last week before the court.
The father of three was remanded to prison. The case will continue on May 21, 2019. James Fraser, also known as “Damo”, was recently charged for the same murder and was remanded to prison.
