Another double header hits GFC

This weekend’s double-headers of the Guyana Football Federation (GFF) Elite League will be held at the Georgetown Football Club ground, Bourda due to the unplayable conditions of the Tucville venue.
Today, the matchup will see Western Tigers FC vs Cougars FC at 18:00hrs and Fruta Conquerors FC against Den Amstel FC at 20:00hrs while on Sunday, Milerock FC tackle New Amsterdam United FC in the first game at 17:30hrs and the feature game will see GDF FC vs Victoria Kings FC at 19:30hrs.
Western Tigers will be hoping to capitalize on the match to gain the valuable three points over Cougars, which will take them to the top of the table. In the second match of the double header, Fruta Conquerors FC will have their work cut out against Den Amstel which has given a reasonably good account of themselves as newcomers to the league.

Fruta Conquerors will be in action against Den Amstel

Likewise, a win for Den Amstel would also take them to the top of the table but with one match more than the other leading contenders.
In the first match on Sunday, NA United will be looking to get on to the points table in order to break their drought thus far. GDF will also be looking forward to tough matches prior their departure for the Caribbean Shield, one of which they should get coming against points leaders Victoria Kings.
The GFF Elite League is the senior league of the Guyana Football Federation, which informs the senior national squad. The Guyana Defence Force FC is the defending champions.
Admission to all matches is $500 but all women and children U12 years of age will be admitted free of charge.
