Delivering brief remarks at a simple ceremony on Friday, ANSA McAL Non-Alcoholic Portfolio Head Errol Nelson stated that the company was proud to be the official beverage sponsor for an event, which has become synonymous with good corporate responsibility.
“GTT’s fantastic Pinktober, as we all know, is geared towards raising funds for the fight against breast cancer and cancer on a whole … I would like to officially extend appreciation to GTT for having ANSA McAL as the official beverage sponsor of the GTT Pinktober 5K, 10K and 21 Walk/Run/Cycle Event … Additionally, ANSA McAL has been known over the years for distributing brands that are of the highest quality and iCool Water is one of these brands. In fact, iCool Water will be responsible for rehydrating all the participants at the event and along the route,” Nelson stated.
Nelson thanks those individuals who have worked over the past week and a half to broker the partnership.
“It should be noted that for this deal to get done, we all walked a tightrope like some of the performers in the Suarez Brothers’ Circus and even to the very end of the limb. But, in the end, we all came out winners because we had one common goal and that was to fight against cancer, a disease that is plaguing our society,” he stated.
GTT Public Relations and Corporate Communications Manager Jasmin Harris noted that the company was delighted to partner with ANSA McAL for Pinktober 2018 to help raise cancer awareness is Guyana.
She said, “Together we can make a difference and continue to champion this cause to ensure all Guyanese are healthy and that our women have regular pap smears and mammograms and our men have their PSAs [Prostate-Specific Antigen Tests].”
ANSA McAL Trading Limited Beverage Divisional Head Kelvin Singh was also keen to express thanks for the opportunity provided by GTT.
“We are very proud to partner with GTT and the other companies to raise funds that will be used to aid persons with breast cancer and fund research. To the persons that are fighting breast cancer … please continue the fight, and their family and friends … please continue to support. This will serve as an inspiration to persons now being diagnosed,” Singh noted.
The Divisional Head assured that this partnership would continue to grow stronger in the coming years.
