Archery Guyana has released their fixed training schedule for 2018 with indoor/outdoor sessions set for the National Gymnasium and the Carifesta Sports Complex venues.
According to Archery Guyana Chairman, Nicholas Hing the confirmation of the venues for training and practice sessions were made possible compliments of the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Ministry of Education, Department of Culture, Youth and Sport.

The weekly training schedule will see archers and potential archers set for two hours of training on Thursday’s at the National Gymnasium from 17:00 to 19:00h; for the indoor session. Meanwhile, the archers will assemble from 14:00h to 17:00h on Sunday at the Carifesta Sports Club Ground for the outdoor sessions.
Hing said with the sport striving for international recognition, he was pleased that the government came onboard at the beginning in a major way to assist the future of the sport. He said that archers can look forward to weekly sessions which will aid in the expansion of the fraternity as they seek to reach newer heights this year.
For the moment, all members are required to pay a range fee of $200 per session while all non-members are required to pay a range fee of $500 per session. New members may obtain instructional training and will be able to practice the art of Indoor and Outdoor Archery with the club’s own member-made PVC Olympic-style bows.
The sessions which commenced earlier in the year will continue this Thursday and Sunday at both venues.
