Armed robbery suspects remanded to prison

Several men were on Friday slapped with several charges of illegal possession of firearm, armed robbery, and possession of military clothes when they appeared at the Diamond Magistrate’s Court.
First, 26-year-old Jomain Watson, a driver of Kuru Kuru College, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, was charged with possession of a firearm without licence.
However, 32-year-old Toney Jerrick and 25-year-old Stanford Ford of Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke-Linden Highway, were jointly charged for an armed robbery committed on Tanesha Fordyce on August 22, 2022, at Hillfoot Soesdyke Highway.
They both pleaded not guilty to the charge and were remanded to prison
In addition, Ford was also charged with the offence of acquiring military clothes, to which he also pleaded not guilty.
Meanwhile, 36-year-old Jason Harry, a businessman of Kuru Kuru; Jerrick, and 29-year-old taxi driver Randy Fraser of Dahlia Street, Linden, were jointly charged for an armed robbery committed on Leonard McKenzie which occurred on August 23, at Dookie’s, Sand Road Soesdyke, EBD.
They were all remanded to prison until August 28 by Magistrate Sunil Scarce.
