Aroaima man jailed, fined $2.8M for narco-trafficking

A man, who failed to make a virtual appearance before Magistrate Wanda Fortune at the Linden Magistrate’s Court on Friday was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment together with a fine of $2,088,450 after he was found guilty of narco-trafficking. Brentnol Shultz of Landerville, Aroaima, Upper Berbice River, was caught by Police with 1923 grams of cannabis sativa at Ituni, Upper Berbice River, on March 6, 2019.
He was sentenced in absentia.
