Arson being probed as Wismar blaze damages house

A fire has caused significant damage to a two-storey wooden-and-concrete building situated at Lot 9, Second Alley in Wismar, Linden.
The blaze broke out in the structure at about 14:43h on Wednesday, and according to reports, the fire tender arrived on the scene at 14:49h, just six minutes after receiving the call.
The affected building measures approximately 11.6 metres by 6.6 metres in size, was occupied by 39-year-old Terence Waddle although jointly owned by Ann Fraser, 66, Elizabeth McBean, 62, and Patricia McBean, 67, who all reside in the United States.
This building has sustained extensive damage from the fire, despite quick and coordinated efforts by the fire fighters, and its contents have been severely damaged. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
Preliminary investigations of the Fire Service suggest that fire was intentionally set to the building; and an investigation has been launched.
