In commemoration of their fifth anniversary in Guyana, Assuria Insurance Company on Friday opened its fifth branch at Diamond on the East Bank of Demerara (EBD).
Diamond was selected for the new location as it is continuing to develop into one of the biggest commercial areas on the East Bank of Demerara.
Assuria offers services such as fire insurance, motor insurance, life insurance, accident liability insurance and others.

Another service offered by the company is the recently launched ‘serve and protect’. The company also has an agreement with the Guyana Teacher’s Union (GTU) where educators would be able to receive affordable coverage.
According to the company’s General Manager, Jogendra Arjune, Assuria’s purpose for being in Guyana is to bring to Guyanese affordable and unique insurance coverage.
Arjune explained “the whole idea for Assuria being in Guyana is to do things differently, to make insurance more affordable, to make our service unique. The standards would be one too, if you look at all of our branch offices, they are all uniquely done. And that is all that we want to bring to Guyana now and that is why we thought of bringing the same to Diamond”.
Person thinking of taking advantage of the new location can also expect great deals in the coming week with great customer care service.
The General Manager added that “in another week or two we will be rolling out some special discounts at this location so all you customers that come now would be able to get some novelties as we are looking to now get started”.
Assuria first started its operation in Guyana in 2012 with just three staff. But now the company has five branches with an employment of 36.
For those that would like to visit the various locations, opening hours are from Monday to Thursday from 08:00h to 16:00h and from 08:00h to 15:30h on Fridays. The Giftland Mall location however, operates seven day a week from 12:00h to 20:00h.
