In East Canje woman was on Monday night assaulted after a lone bandit broke
into her home and carried away electrical and electronic devices, along with cash and jewellery.
The woman, Drupatie Karran, of 21 Second Street, Betsy Ground, East Canje, Berbice, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) said shortly before midnight, she was awoken by someone touching her. When she opened her eyes, she saw the man holding a knife over her three-year-old son.
