Bandits killed by Police had robbed man prior to fatally shooting electrician
…used stolen motorcycle
Quacy Jupiter and David Smith, suspects who were killed by the Police days after they had executed 19-year-old Joshua Denny during a robbery in North Ruimveldt, had also robbed a man of his belongings in the Campbellville ward of Georgetown.
The Police have said that a 40-year-old man from Lodge, Georgetown visited a Police station and reported that on Saturday September 25, 2021, at about 19:30h, he was in the Campbellville area when he was attacked and robbed by the two suspects.
He was relieved of $25,000 in cash, a Samsung Galaxy A20 phone, and his black HAOJUE UF-115 motorcycle, number CK 8784.
According to the man, he was beaten by Jupiter and Smith during the robbery, thus causing him to sustain injuries to his lower abdomen.
He further stated that after the images of Jupiter and Smith were released by the Police, he instantly recognised his motorcycle, and immediately informed the Police at Prashad Nagar.
The man was shown the Samsung Galaxy cellphone retrieved from Quacy Jupiter along with the motorcycle found, and he identified both items as among the items taken from him by the men.
Quacy Jupiter and David Smith were fatally shot by the Police during a confrontation last Saturday evening, October 2, in the vicinity of UG Access Road.
Nineteen-year-old Joshua Denny of Festival City North Ruimveldt, Georgetown was shot and killed on the morning of Thursday 30th September as he was heading to work.
It was reported that the shooting incident occurred at about 7:20h, and his sister Felicia Denny has told investigators that shortly after leaving his home, she received information that he was shot. She said that as she looked out, she saw her brother lying on the roadway with blood oozing from his chest.
Without hesitation, she picked him, up with assistance of others, and took him to the Georgetown Public Hospital (GPHC), but he reportedly died while undergoing an emergency surgery.
The two now dead bandits reportedly took away a gold chain from the electrician after he was shot.
