Bandits rob mechanic, escape with motorcycle

Jerrick D’Agrella of the Georgetown ward of Campbellville was relieved of his cellphone valued $50,000 and his Honda motorcycle, CJ 4341, which he was riding while traversing Plum Park, Georgetown when armed bandits pounced on him at about 21:10h on Tuesday.
According to information relayed to Guyana Times, the 35-year-old mechanic was riding his motorcycle when he heard behind him a loud explosion which caused him to stop.
As he did so, two men rode alongside him on a similar vehicle, and the pillion rider pointed a handgun at him as he proceeded to search his pockets. This pillion rider then hopped onto D’Agrella’s motorcycle, and the duo sped away.
A report was made to the Police, and an investigation has been launched.
