Three armed bandits on Monday evening invaded Manzoor Mohammed General Store, in Charity, Essequibo Coast, Region Two (Pomeroon-Supenaam).
Reports are the incident occurred at about 20:15h.
While details are sketchy, this newspaper was told that the woman who was shot is the daughter of the late Manzoor Mohammed. She was rushed to the Suddie Public Hospital.

One businessman told Guyana Times that the business community lost all confidence in the police in the region and are presently conducting discussions with other businesses to get a vehicle and private security to conduct patrols.
Meanwhile, the police have since launched an investigation.
