It was a great journey for Bangladesh as they became the 10th and final team to qualify for the Women’s World T20 when they thumped Scotland in the semi-finals, but their memorable victory came when they humbled Ireland in the finals of the

Bangladesh’s Rumana Ahmed in the press conference after that match highlighted that the team were excited and had their eyes on winning the World T20 trophy. Bangladesh are in Group A with powerful teams such as the West Indies, England, and South Africa.
In the previous Women’s T20 Tournament, Bangladesh failed to register a win as they suffered four defeats from four matches played in Group B. The team will be led by 28-year old Salma Khatun, who has played 53 T20Is for Bangladesh. Khatun is an off-spinner who averages 18.97 with 44 wickets to her name.
