Bank DIH Limited for the year 2016 was awarded for performance excellence in the small market in Miami, Florida, USA, when the company competed in the Latin Centre Business Unit (LCBU) competition last month.

The leading local manufacturer was able to win ahead of leading bottlers of Coca Cola within the regional LCBU. The high accolade was handed over to the heads of the company by the LCBU at a recently held meeting.
Chairman and Managing Director of Banks, Clifford Reis, in accepting the award noted that gratitude is owed to all who worked to make the success a reality.
He reminded that Banks has over the years built a quality system which today has been recognised with the award.
The Chairman added that with the appreciation shown to the company by being awarded the cup, Banks will remain committed to quality in the production of Coca Cola products and all other products.
“I am also proud that we as a Guyanese company can win such an important award. It puts us on the map and says to all that world-class quality can be and is produced right here in Guyana and by Guyanese,” Reis stated.
Bottlers in the LCBU and across the world compete in several categories of sales, health, safety and environment.
This is the second time the Excellence Cup was awarded. Banks DIH Limited is the local bottler of Coca Cola since 1990.
