litre Aqua Mist, 150 cases of 1.5 litre Tropical Mist and 300 31-pound boxes of biscuits to CDC official Anthony Hope at the CDC headquarters in Thomas Lands.
“We responded immediately after there was a call for assistance as the CDC was forced to set up temporary shelters for residents in West Demerara in light of the flooding. We do hope that the residents will be able to get their lives back together as quickly as possible,” Peters said.
Residents of Uitvlugt, Leonora and Stewartville were seriously affected by the flooding which resulted from the high tides that disrupted sections of the sea defence structure on Friday.
CDC Administrative Manager (ag), Odetta Giddings expressed her gratitude to the company for its timely response to assist the residents of the affected communities, also noting that a clean-up exercise has begun.
