Banks DIH Limited in collaboration with ‘B’ Division of the Guyana Police Force treated mothers in Berbice (Region-Six) to a pre-Mother’s Day Appreciation ceremony, hosted at the Banks DIH branch on Main Street, New Amsterdam.
The Guyana Police Force (GPF) military band under the baton of the force’s first female director of music, Superintendent Charmaine Stuart, entertained guests with musical renditions, while gifts and hampers were presented to all mothers attending the event.
Addressing the gathering was Commander of ‘B’ Division, Ian Amsterdam, who indicated that the aim of the programme was to express appreciation to mothers in the community while promoting the band’s visits to divisions around the country.
“The military band has embarked on visits to police divisions around the country to organized concerts and we are happy that they are visiting us today,” the Commander stated.
Banks DIH Limited Berbice Branch Executive, Reginald Matthews, added that the ceremony was organized to demonstrate gratitude to mothers ahead of Mother’s Day which is set to be celebrated on Sunday. Matthews thanked the Guyana Police Force for partnering with their business enterprise in the successful execution of the ceremony, which was well attended despite the inclement weather.
