Banks DIH to refresh South American 10K athletes

Banks DIH Limited has confirmed their position as the official beverage sponsor for Sunday’s 15th Edition of the South American 10Km Athletic Road Race which is expected to attract top athletes from South America and the Caribbean.
The local beverage giants presented the sponsorship cheque to the Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG) during a simple ceremony at the Banks DIH Limited Sports Club.
The race will be sponsored under Rain Forest Water and energy drink Powerade, a product of the Coca Cola Company.

Communications Manager of Banks DIH, Troy Peters said that his company continues to play its part in the development of sport and the Company remains committed to its Corporate Social Responsibility.
Also present during the presentation were Errol Nelson, Powerade Brand Manager and James Cole, LOC Secretariat Manager for the event.
The 15th Edition of the South American 10Km race is expected to attract athletes from Brazil, Bolivia, Argentina Chile Colombia, Grenada, Panama, Suriname, Uruguay, French Guiana, Trinidad and Tobago and host Guyana.
The race will start on Carifesta Avenue proceed to East Coast Highway before returning to the National Park for the finish.
The Guyanese trio of Cleveland Forde, Cleveland Thomas and Winston Missigher copped first to third places in that order last weekend in the first leg of the 10K Classic in Suriname. They will be looking to maintain that streak on Sunday but will face stiff opposition from their south American counter parts.
Forde is the defending Man’s champion.
