Baramita woman dies mysteriously

Police are investigating the mysterious death of a Baramita, North West District, Region One (Barima-Waini) woman who collapsed and died while on her way to purchase groceries.
Dead is 22-year-old Vanessa Davis. Police said on Monday night that the housewife/gold miner of Golden City Backdam, Baramita, died sometime after 17:00h on Sunday. According to Police, the dead woman’s reputed husband said that at about 17:00h, he and David along with their two children – a six-year-old and an eight-month-old – went to purchase foodstuff.
Police said that the man reported that whilst making the journey, his reputed wife complained of a severe headache and shortly after complained of shortness of breath and then collapsed. He said that she started to froth.
After collapsing, the man said that he picked her up and took her to a relative’s house where she became motionless. Police said that the reputed husband left to seek transportation to the hospital. According to Police, on Monday at about 07:45h, he went to the Baramita Police Station and reported the matter. The body was escorted to the Baramita Health Centre and pronounced dead at about 11:00h by the resident medex.
The body will be transported to the Port Kaituma Mortuary for storage and a post-mortem examination, Police said as they continue their investigations.
