Baramita woman stabbed during drinking spree

A 25-year-old woman is now hospitalised after she was stabbed multiple times about her body by a 25-year-old woman at Barama Line, Baramita Village, North West District, Region One (Barima Waini).
Injured is Joanna John.
According to Police, the women were imbibing at a shop in the area when at about 21:50h, an argument ensued. Police said that the angry suspect armed herself with a broken bottle and dealt John several stabs about her body.
As a result, John fell to the ground bleeding profusely. The police were summoned to the scene, and John was rushed to the Baramita Health Post where she was admitted a patient.
Shortly after, the suspect was arrested and is assisting Police with investigations. Just recently, a 24-year-old man of Logg Hill Village, Baramita, North West District, was chopped about his body with a cutlass after he slapped a woman.
Deon Henry, a miner, was consuming alcohol at Logg Hill Village, in the company of the woman, when an argument ensued between them.
During the argument, the miner dealt the woman several slaps to her face.
The woman then armed herself with a cutlass and dealt the man several chops about his body.
Reports are the man then went home and told his family what had transpired and they contacted a motorcycle and took him to the Baramita Health Centre where he was treated and sent away.
