Barbados-bound cocaine mule nabbed

A rank attached to the Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit (CANU) on Monday nabbed an outgoing passenger at the Eugene F Correia International Airport, who had ingested several cocaine pallets.
According to reports, 35-year-old Eaion Kwesi Kaman Le Blank of Lot 101 Ogle Street, Triumph, East Coast Demerara, was scheduled to fly to Barbados on Monday.

However, he was observed acting in a suspicious manner and was subsequently detained for questioning during which he admitted to swallowing the pellets.
The suspect was then escorted to a city hospital where he was medically examined and remained hospitalised. As of 12:00 noon on Tuesday, he excreted several suspected cocaine-filled pellets. Investigations are ongoing.
