GCA/Carib Beer T20…
‒ De Roche claims hat-trick for GYO
Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) proved why they are deemed the powerhouses of Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) with another commanding win over Transport Sports Club (TSC) in their final match of the group stage of the Carib Beer first division T20 tournament.
Playing at home, DCC recorded a mammoth first innings score of 235-5 from 20 overs then limited the visitors to 122-7 from 20 overs. With the win, DCC remained unbeaten in their four matches.

DCC’s top four batsmen accounted for 15 sixes and 16 fours which amount to 154 runs in boundaries among them. They were hostile to the TSC bowlers, including Kevin Ross, who bagged 2-59 from four overs.
In reply TSC was off to a horrible start after being placed at four runs for the loss of three wickets and they never recovered, settling to bat out the overs to gain much required points to stand a chance of advancing to the semifinals pending the result in their clash against the University of Guyana in next weekend clash.
Suresh Budhoo made 27, Oslyn Batson (26) and Ryan Hemraj (21) as Andre Stoll, who made a return to club cricket after a hiatus for personal reasons claimed 2-23 from four overs and Rutherford took 2-33.
