Neron Barrow and Kemar Beckford scored a hat-trick each as Slingerz crushed Den Amstel 8–0 in the Guyana Football Federation’s Elite League on Saturday night at the National Training Centre, Providence.

Kelsey Benjamin and Darron Niles added a goal apiece in the emphatic victory, while the night’s other encounter ended 1–1 after ten-man Fruta Conquerors secured a late equaliser against Camptown.
Slingerz established a firm grip on their match before half-time, with Barrow opening the scoring in the 12th minute. Benjamin doubled the advantage seven minutes later, before Barrow struck again in the 39th to give his side a 3–0 lead at the break.

The goals continued after the restart. Beckford opened his account in the 55th minute, and Barrow completed his treble two minutes later to stretch the margin to five.
Niles made it 6–0 in the 62nd minute before Beckford supplied the final two goals. His second came in the 78th minute, and he completed his hat-trick in the 85th to round off the scoring. Slingerz substitute Lloyd Matthews was booked a minute later.
In the other fixture, Omar Williams rescued a point for Fruta Conquerors with an 82nd-minute equaliser after Jaleei Alcindor’s dismissal had left them a player short.
Lonsdale George had given Camptown the lead in the 26th minute, an advantage they carried into half-time.
Fruta introduced Williams for Sealey Maikai at the start of the second half, but their task became more difficult when Alcindor received his second yellow card in the 66th minute. He had first been cautioned in the second minute.
Despite the numerical disadvantage, Fruta found a response through Williams with eight minutes of regulation time remaining, securing a share of the points.
Maikai was also booked in the 12th minute, while Fruta’s John Odeta received a yellow card in the 70th.
