Bartica Football Association hosts referees’ beginner course
A team of professionals from the Guyana Football Federation’s Refereeing Department conducted a three-day course in Football Match Officiating, which commenced on Friday, October 1 and ran until Sunday, October 3, at Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni).
The course was conducted at the Bartica Secondary School and was designed for persons interested in pursuing a career in refereeing.
Leading the team was Deon Innis, who is Head of the Refereeing Department and Executive Member of the Guyana Football Federation. He was accompanied by Natasha Lewis, Sherwin Moore, and Tyrone Tyre, all of whom function in various capacities.
Fourteen Barticians attended the course, providing good prospects for the boosting of refereeing staff in the Bartica Football Association’s jurisdiction.
