Police in F Division (Interior Locations) have arrested a Bartica, Region Seven (Cuyuni-Mazaruni) resident after he was found with a quantity of marijuana.
According to Police reports, the discovery was made around 07:00h on Sunday. It
was reported that the ranks received information, which led them to a house located at First Street, Bartica where the suspect was at the time.
While there, they conducted a search on the premises and found the narcotics in a haversack that was in the possession of the 30-year-old suspect. He was arrested and taken to the Bartica Police Station, where the marijuana was weighed and turned out to be 554 grams. The suspect, a resident of Three Miles, Potaro Road, Bartica, was subsequently processed for court. He is expected to be arraigned today.
