Different day but same script for Dillon Mahadeo as he produced yet another Wildebeest performance to win the 4th Kares Engineering Fitness Challenge title for a third consecutive time at the National Park tarmac on Sunday.
Mahadeo won all five of the events quite emphatically bringing to life the sizable crowd in attendance. Following in second was fellow Cross Fit 592 member Timothy McAndrew and the improving Junior Cordet of the Guyana Defence Force in third.
The female category was where the upset of the day occurred as Delice Adonis turned the tide of former champion Semonica Duke to win the title. Adonis had finished runner up in 2017 but stood tall when her competitors fell. It was the gruelling final event which contained rows, rope pull up and pushes that the 20 year-old kept her composure to win since it was understood to be a five-point split between her and Duke who is also from Cross Fit 592.Third place was occupied by Tamecia Archer of Genesis Fitness Gym.
The celebrity Fitness Challenge which is sponsored by Scotiabank was won by Macalea Cameron also known as The Remix Chic, Chief Executive of Pulse Entertainment Robbie Singh. Scotiabank will be making what is understood to be a huge financial contribution to the Giving Hope Foundation and Help and Shelter. A detailed report of the day’s proceeding will be published in Tuesday’s edition.
