The body of a 68-year-old cattle farmer of Lot 69 Claybrick Road, West Bank Demerara (WBD), was dug up from a shallow grave on Monday.
Dead is Sohan Ramdial, also called “Nancy”.
According to reports, the pensioner left home on Sunday around 17:00h to head to his pasture also on the WBD to tend to his cattle – something he did on a daily basis – but he never returned home.
This resulted in worried family members launching a search for him on Monday.
As the family intensified their search, one of the man’s children saw a freshly cut bush and some disturbed dirt, which raised his suspicion and he started digging in the area where he made the gruesome discovery. The Police were called in and the man’s body was examined by ranks who found wounds on the chest which appeared to have been inflicted by a sharp object.
The body is at the Ezekiel Funeral Home awaiting a post-mortem examination.
