A man has been taken into Police custody after he was busted with 115 grams of cannabis in his possession on the Glasgow public road, East Bank Berbice.

Based on reports received, at about 23:40h on Thursday, Police on mobile patrol along the Glasgow public road spotted a male pedestrian who, upon seeing the patrol vehicle, reportedly started acting in a suspicious manner. He was stopped and searched, but nothing illegal was found on his person. Nevertheless, a small transparent parcel containing the cannabis was found in a haversack he was carrying at the time.
The suspect was cautioned, arrested, and taken to the Central Police Station along with the suspected narcotics. There the contents of the parcel were weighed in his presence, and amounted to 115 grams.
He remains in custody pending charges.
