Less than 24 hours after a 47-year-old woman was struck down and killed along the Number 67 Village Public Road, Corentyne, a motorcyclist lost his life in a similar manner, a few villages away.
Roshan Alli of Number 76 Housing Scheme, Corentyne, was reportedly driving his motorcycle on Friday evening when he was struck by a speeding motorcar.
Based on information received, the now dead man was heading home after visiting his mother’s home at Number 65 Village when the motorcar reportedly lost control and veered into the motorcyclist’s lane, thus resulting in a head-on collision.
Alli was reportedly flung into the air and landed on the roadway, where he sustained severe bodily injuries. He was picked up and taken to the Number 75 Regional Hospital, where he died while receiving medical attention.

This comes one day after Priya Hunt of Lot 95B, Number 67 Village was struck during a collision involving two lorries.
Reports are that Hunt had crossed the roadway when the two vehicles became involved in a collision. One of the vehicles, a heavy-duty lorry reportedly transporting sand, is alleged to have collided with the other lorry from behind, causing that vehicle to overturn.
During the collision, Hunt was struck and sustained injuries. She was subsequently taken to the Number 75 Public Hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
