Berbice woman busted with 21 grams cocaine

A Corentyne, Berbice, Region Six (East Berbice-Corentyne) woman was arrested following the discovery of a quantity of cocaine in her possession on Wednesday.
Based on reports received, on the day in question about 21:00h, ranks of the Guyana Police Force (GPF), acting on information received, went to a house at Princetown, Corentyne, where they conducted a search of the woman and her belongings.

During the search, five parcels of a “whitish, rock-like” substance suspected to be cocaine were unearthed.
As such, the woman was immediately arrested, told of the offence and was taken to the Springlands Police Station, where the substance was weighed in her presence and amounted to 21 grams.
The Berbician is expected to make her court appearance today.
