Better Hope edge Belle Vue by 1 wicket

Travelling all the way to the West Bank of Demerara, Better Hope “Young Warriors” U15 defeated Belle Vue Sports Club (BVSC) U15 in their own back yard, in an invited friendly T20 match, played at the Belle Vue Sports Club Ground last Saturday.
Winning the toss and electing to field, Better Hope “Young Warriors” restricted BVSC to 80 all out in 18.2 overs, with M. King top scoring with 10.
Bowling for Better Hope “Young Warriors”, Peter Jadunath and Shankar Kaladin captured 3 for 15 and 3 for 18 respectively.
When Better Hope “Young Warriors” took the crease, they found it challenging against a good bowling attack, but managed to reach their target in 17.4 overs, losing 9 wickets.
Shankar Kaladin returned with the bat to score 10 not out, ensuring a win for his team. Christopher Balgobin 12, and Vishnu Seecharan 9 also contributed with the bat.
Bowling for BVSC, C. Bisram picked up 3 for 20 off 4 overs.
