An altercation at Good Hope, East Coast Demerara (ECD) in the wee hours of Monday has led to the death of 23-year-old Navin Jangbir also called “Buddy”.
Based on reports received, at about 12:30h, Jangbir and several men on motorcycles were involved in a head argument in front of his home. The argument escalated into a scuffle. The deceased man ran into his yard but later collapsed.
Relatives who rushed to his aid observed a serious stab wound to his chest. He was rushed to the Emore Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
His body was taken to Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, where it is awaiting a post-mortem examination (PME). Up to press time, the police were yet to release any information of the fatal stabbing.
