Biker dies after crashing into rice truck

The lifeless body of a biker had to be pulled from under a rice truck on Monday afternoon after he reportedly lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the truck at Mahaicony, East Coast Demerara (ECD).
Dead is Arnold Tinnis, who was returning home from an event which was hosted in Suriname.

Guyana Times was reliably informed that Tinnis was making his way to Georgetown from Corentyne, Berbice at about 16:00h when the accident occurred.
C Division (East Coast Demerara) Commander, Calvin Brutus confirmed that the man was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mahaicony Cottage Hospital.
Reports are Tinnis, along with his team members, participated in a two-day drag racing event, called ‘Bracket War 2017’ in Paramaribo, Suriname.
The dead man, along with the other bikers, was all making their way home when the accident occurred.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
