Billingy qualifies for 2026 CAC Games

…Moore replaces Van Lange on men’s team

The Guyana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) announced that Jasmine Billingy has secured qualification for the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games through the International Table Tennis Federation Americas (ITTFA) qualification process.
Billingy will represent Guyana in the women’s singles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles events at the Games, which will be held from July 24 to August 8 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The Table Tennis competition is scheduled for August 2-8 and will feature leading players from Central America and the Caribbean competing for regional honours.
Billingy is the reigning National Junior Girls’ and Women’s Champion and has won multiple Caribbean titles.

The GTTA noted that the St Stanislaus College student has continued to develop into one of Guyana’s leading young Table Tennis players through consistent performances at the national and international levels.
Billingy will join two-time Olympian Chelsea Edghill and the men’s team of Shemar Britton, Elishaba Johnson, Niran Bissu and Malachi Moore, who replaces Jonathan Van Lange.
While Van Lange was part of the men’s team that was successful at the CAC Qualifiers back in April, he told this publication that he will no longer be participating due to other commitments.
