The Carmichael Street unit would be riding the crest of self-confidence, having recently pulled off a stunning come-from-behind 2-1 victory over Ann’s Grove in a match held in a torrential downpour. Roses, on the other hand, would be engaged in the unenviable task of trying to rebound from an eight-goal thumping received from the hands of Masters Academy.

Defending champions Chase Academy would also be in action against North Ruimveldt Secondary from 15:30 hrs. The other two matches pit Ann’s Grove against Master’s Academy from 11:00 hrs, and St. Joseph High against Buxton Academy from 12:30 hrs.

East Ruimveldt Secondary meets St. Mary’s Secondary on Sunday from 11:00 hrs, while St. John’s College and Pure Master lock horns from 12:30 hrs. Lodge Secondary will tackle Kingston Secondary from 14:00 hrs, after which Morgan’s Learning Centre will face Tucville Secondary.

Thirty-two secondary schools across Georgetown are competing for the $500,000 first prize on offer in this tournament; while second, third and fourth place finishers will pocket $300,000, $200,000 and $100,000 respectively – money that will go towards a school project.
