This Sunday, Blairmont Cricket Club (BCC) will be hosting a day of fun which will comprise of activities including 10/10 cricket, Table Tennis, Volley ball, football and domino competitions.
The activities will commence at 09:00h with six teams competing for supremacy in the annual Roy Fredricks Cup. The home side are the defending cricket champions and will face a stiff challenge DeEdward Sports Club, Young Warriors, Cotton Tree Die Hard, Metamorza CC (WBD), Zeelust (WBD) and Blairmont under-19.

The table tennis competition will have 3 different tournaments: under 15, under 19 and open while the volley Ball will be a 4-aside tournament and the football a five-aside small goal spectacular.

Other attractions include BBQ sale, tassa dumming, bouncy castle, cartoon characters walk around, ice cream and air horn giveaways. There will be live commentary through the public address system in the ground throughout the event.
The aid for the day of fun is to secure means to maintain, control and improvised for the best interest of its members and club.
The club has grown over the years to be recognized to be one of the best clubs in the ancient county, Berbice. They are not only creating a proper opportunity to have youths and other individuals involve in a positive environment during the dry and wet seasons which sees numerous players qualifying for the Berbice and the national teams.
