Blairmont Blazers has retained the Roy Frederick’s Cup by defeating Young Warriors by 6 wickets in the final. The weather being a threat, the organizers had to reduce the tournament to 8 overs per innings, after the preliminary rounds while the semi-final and final were played at 6 and 5 overs per innings respectively.
In the Final (5/5), the defending champions won the toss and inserted Young Warriors to take first strike. Rajiv Ivan was called to open the bowling and he delivered a match winning performance by picking up the scalps of Alex Algoo, Gajanand Singh and Ishwar Singh in the first over. Young Warriors recovered to post 38/7 in their allotted 5 overs, Waheed Edward the only batsman to double figure with 19 runs. Blazers in response lost 2 wickets for 6 runs giving Young Warriors a fighting chance, Kevon Jawahir (18) and Rajiv Ivan (11*) joined forces to take the score 26/3 with 13 runs required from three overs and they won by 6 wickets and 1.5 overs to spare.

Semi Final (6/6): Blazers beat D’Edward Super Kings by 2 runs. Blairmont Blazers 59/4 Kevon Jawahir 18 Parmanand Ramdhan 15 Mahendra Singh11. Clinton Pestano (2 overs) 1/9 Heeralall Bridgelall 1/4. DSK 57/5 Delbert Hicks 21 Jailall Heeralall 20 no Derrick Mc Calmon 3/7 Keon Jawahir 1/7. Kevon Jawahir received the Best Bowler and Best Catch of the day prizes while the prize for Most Sixes of the day went jointly to Parmanand Ramdhan and Leon Andrews. The Player of the final was Rajiv Ivan.
