The inaugural Magnum ‘Mash Cup’ Fustal tournament got off to the best possible start with several of the top teams recording convincing victories on Saturday evening at the National Gymnasium.
Tigerbay hammered Hustlers 3-1. Orin Moore recorded a double in the third and sixth minute, while Wendell Austin added a goal in the 14th minute.
Scoring for the loser in the 12th minute was Stephon Reynolds while Team Extreme overcame Sophia 2-1.

Adrian Adonis and Pernell Schultz scored in the third and 17th minute each. For Sophia, Dwayne Lowe found the back of the net in the 19th minute.
NK Ballers and California Square battled to a 2-2 stalemate. David George and Delon Kelly scored in the fifth and seventh minute for California Square.
For Linden unit NK Ballers, Kenard Simon and Keon Sears found the back of the net in the seventh and 11th minute correspondingly.
Similarly, Broad Street and MBK All-Stars played to a 1-1 result. Akeem Sam handed Broad Street the lead in the 14th minute, while Deon Alleyne equalised two minutes later.
Sparta Boss edged Buxton Diamond 1-0. Dennis Edwards scored in the 10th minute. Similarly, Gold is Money downed the Rugby Team 2-0.
Siblings Randolph Wagner and Hubert Pedro, scored in the fifth and 16th minute respectively. Meanwhile, Ansa McAl All-Stars defeated Channel-9 Warriors 2-0.
Delroy Dean bagged a brace in the fifth and 15th minute. Silver Bullets riddled Kingston 5-0. Jermaine Samuels led the rout with a double in the fifth and 17th minute.
Chipping in with goals in the 10th, 13th and 16th minute correspondingly were D. Freeman, Omar Williams and Damion Williams.
Also, Showstoppers and Bent Street defeated North Ruimveldt and YMCA All-Stars respectively via walkovers.
The competition which resumes on Tuesday sees over $800,000 in prize monies and trophies being distributed to the winners, along with prizes for outstanding individual performances. The winning team will receive $400,000 while first runner-up will collect $200,000, the third place finisher will pocket $100,000 and fourth place $50,000.
