Blueberry Hill woman jailed for breaching protection order

A woman who hails from Blueberry Hill, Wismar, Linden was jailed for breaching a protection order instituted by her reputed husband .
Onika Griffith will spend the next two months behind bars after she was found guilty of the offence. The sentence was handed down by Magistrate Clive Nurse

on Thursday at the Linden Magistrate’s Court.
The 27-year-old woman was called to lead her defence on Tuesday last after a prima facie case has been made out against her.
Griffith opted to take the stand to give a sworn statement in her defence; however, her testimony was not enough to prove her innocence.
The charge stated that Griffith on October 16 at Blueberry Hill breached a protection order by physically abusing her reputed husband, Eon Marks.
