Police were called to Lamaha Street, Alberttown, on Tuesday afternoon, after the body of a man was seen lying close to a gutter in the area.

According to information reaching Guyana Times, the bloated body of the man was discovered at around 12:30h by a passerby.
The body has not yet been identified but persons in the community claim that the man is a known vagrant, who would be seen in the area from time to time.
Based on the condition of the body at the time of the discovery, the Police said the man seems to have died within the last few hours.
The circumstances surrounding the man’s demise is now being investigated.
