The Bollywood Masala Super Concert which was billed for May 5 at the Guyana National Stadium has been cancelled due to lack of adequate sponsorship. This was confirmed by organiser of the event, Paul Bonar, popularly known as “DJ Stress”.
The event was expected to commemorate the 180th anniversary of East Indian arrival to Guyana. The show would have featured the Angels Caribbean Band out of New York and the Caribbean Hotshots Band out of Guyana.
“We the promoters and The Angels Caribbean Band are as equally disappointed as the fans”, the organiser related in a Facebook post.
He further stated that his team will work hard on promoting the business and as such, the cancellation was disappointing. Those who have bought tickets are asked to return to the location where it was purchased and a full refund will be facilitated.
Meanwhile, the teams sincerely apologise for the cancellation.
