Home News Botanical Gardens, zoo to reopen today
The Botanical Gardens and Guyana Zoological Park will reopen today after being closed for over two years as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing restrictions that were imposed.
In a notice on Sunday, it was announced that the Botanical Gardens and the Zoological Park and Wildlife Rescue Centre, Vlissengen Road, Georgetown, will reopen to the public today.
In March 2020, with the deadly coronavirus being confirmed in Guyana, the Protected Areas Commission (PAC) and the National Parks Commission (NPC) had announced the closure of the recreational facility.
