Brazilian national found dead on stairs to apartment

The lifeless body of a Brazilian national was found on the stairs to his apartment at Waiamo Backdam, Cuyuni River, on New Year’s Day. The deceased has been identified as 55-year-old miner Cloves Deas Francisco.
Police stated that Francisco was seen imbibing at about 07:00 h on Thursday at his apartment, but about three hours later, he was discovered motionless on the stairway.
The Police were contacted, and upon arriving, an inspection was conducted on the body, but no marks of violence were seen. The body is at the Bartica Regional Hospital awaiting a post-mortem.
Investigations are ongoing.
