Twenty-eight-year-old Christians Barros Buckley, a Brazilian national and driver from Bonfim, Brazil, was remanded to prison on Wednesday on an armed robbery charge.
He appeared before Magistrate Omadatt Chandan at the Lethem Magistrate’s Court, where he was charged under Section 222(c) of the Criminal Law (Offences) Act, Chapter 8:01, for robbery under arms committed in Lethem.
He was not required to plead to the indictable charge and was remanded to prison until May 13, 2026.
