Three men, two of whom are Brazilians, were taken into custody following the discovery of an illegal firearm and ammunition during a raid conducted between January 26 and 28 at Central Rupununi, Region Nine.

The Guyanese, 43, of South Rupununi, was found in possession of eight ammunition components; and the foreign nationals, aged 43 and 48 years respectively, were found with a twenty-eight-gauge, single-barrel Borta shotgun and five live cartridges. The men are expected to be charged shortly.
