Two children ages two and six were rescued from a burning house at Unity Village, Mahaica, East Coast Demerara. The Fire which started at about 18:45h on Monday evening has left the family of four homeless.
Based on reports received, the two children were at home alone when the fire was spotted by neighbours who rushed to their rescued. The mother of the children went to a nearby shop to make a purchase. More details in January 24 edition of the Guyana Times.
