Brothers nabbed with gun, ammo during Police operation
Two brothers were on Saturday arrested after they were busted with a firearm and matching ammunition during a Police operation on Saturday at Kwakwani Water Front, Region 10 (Upper Demerara-Berbice).

Based on reports received, on the day in question at about 12:30h, a team of Police ranks went to the area where they conducted a raid during which two 12-gauge cartridges were found in the possession of a 38-year-old man.
Further, a search was carried out on a small boat belonging to the suspect and a 12-gauge shotgun was unearthed.
His brother, who was present, has since denied having knowledge of the arms and ammunition.
Nevertheless, they were both arrested after they could not produce the relevant licence. They are expected to be charged later in the week.
