Bus conductor charged for raping school girl

…arrest warrant issued for driver

Unrepresented by legal counsel, Route 40 minibus conductor Ashel Williams was on Monday arraigned before Chief Magistrate Ann McLennan on an indictable charge detailing that on October 7, 2015, while in the vicinity of Plum Park, Sophia, he raped a 14-year-old school girl.
Williams was placed on bail in the sum of $300,000, and the matter has been set to continue on September 24, 2018.
An arrest warrant has been issued for minibus driver Sherwin “Brave” Brant, who has also been charged for the same offence.
Reports are that on the day in question, the two accused carried the teen to a house in Plum Park and committed the act. The teen subsequently related to her parents what transpired, and a report was made to the Police.
