Business School register 10-wicket win over Queen’s Park CC

The Business School continued their campaign in the Sir Garfield Sobers International Schools tournament with a 10-wicket win against the Trinidad and Tobago-based Queen’s Park Cricket Club.

Ushardeva Balgobin and Jamal Michael achieved the target with great ease for Business School

In the match played at Lears, Trinidad, the inclement weather reduced the match to 30 overs.
Batting first, Queen’s Park CC scored 119-8 in 23 overs in the rain-affected match that was further reduced. Giovanni Ramdeeny top-scored with 38 for Queen’s Park while he got support from Eric Garcia who chipped in with an unbeaten 22.
Darrien Dodds scored 14 and Jabari Phillip made 11 for Queen’s Park. Bowling for the Guyanese Business School, Joel Gikes snapped up 2-17 and Romel Zamal had 2-19. Berbice U-19 left-arm seam bowler Chris Harry had 2-30 in a collective bowling effort.
In reply, the Business School were tasked to chase a revised target of 78 from 15 overs. The Guyanese boys raced to victory with eight overs to spare. Ushardeva Balgobin took it to the bowlers with a blazing 46 while Transport’s Jamal Michael scored 22 not out in a dominant performance.
The rainy weather continues to affect the matches in Barbados. Business School and Queen’s College are the only Guyanese schools on show.
