Businessman Azruddin Mohamed on Thursday met with Ramoll Babolall of Anna Regina Multilateral School along with his two schoolmates Daniel Dowding and Uotam Heeralall who performed exceptionally well at this year’s Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC).
Babolall secured passes in 27 subjects including 24-grade ones and 3-grade twos while Heeralall secured 24 Grade Ones and one Grade Two and Dowding copped 21 Grade Ones and three Grade Twos. Babolall created history as the first person to have written 27 subjects at one sitting.
During the meeting, the three young men were congratulated and rewarded with a token as an incentive for their performance by Mohamed whose parents also originated from the Essequibo Coast.
He reiterated that their successes are testimonies that despite someone’s circumstances, with hard work and determination, you can be destined for great things.
In addition, the philanthropist also thanked their parents for supporting them in their academic pursuits and more so, the teachers and all those who played a role in their success.
“I would also like to congratulate the parents for their tremendous support during your studies which undoubtedly played a pivotal role in your performances in the exams.”
He nevertheless, encouraged the young men to follow his career path.
Babolall inspires to become a biochemist while Dowding wants is working to be a Marine Biologist or Veterinarian and Heeralall has his eyes set on becoming surgeon and a politician.
However, Mohamed offered to offset the expenses for Babolall’s tertiary education in the event he does not receive a scholarship from the Government of Guyana.
The young men and their families thanked the businessman for his generosity.
