Buxton crush Victoria 4-1

Buxton United recorded the largest margin of victory when the East Demerara Football Association (EDFA) Frank Watson under-15 memorial tournament continued on Saturday at the Golden Grove Community Centre ground.
Buxton’s 4-1 triumph over Victoria Scorpions was led by Collin Henriques with a goal in the 12th followed by Antowne Sullivan in the 34th, Anyika Headley in the 69th and Makya Jarvis in the 74th ; their only blemish was an own goal which

came as a result of a lapse in concentration by Rickford Sutton in the 25th.
Golden Stars and Buxton Stars played to 1-1 stalemate after Japhet Sam  had placed the home side ahead in the 35th but only to see the lead erased two minutes later via a Kubina Thomas  strike.
The other match of the day saw Mahaica Determinators gaining a walk over from Buxton Youth Developers.
Action is slated to resume on March 10 at the aforementioned venue with four matches. Mahaica battle Golden Stars from noon followed by Buxton Youth Developers and Victoria from 13:30h; BV/Triumph play Buxton United from 15:00h and the final clash will be Plaisance Panthers and Buxton Stars from 16:30h.
